The AI conversation got loud fast. Every week there's a new model, a new benchmark, a new billion-dollar round, and a new reason to panic or celebrate. What got lost in the noise is the part that actually matters: where does any of this land for regular people?
The gap we kept hitting
Ericc and I kept having the same conversation off-mic. The keynotes talk about AGI. The vendors talk about "productivity gains." Meanwhile the actual questions — Who pays for the data center? Whose job changes? What happens to a neighborhood that gets a warehouse full of GPUs instead of a grocery store? — barely come up.
We're not doomers and we're not hype men. We're builders. We wanted a show that stays technical without hiding behind jargon, and stays grounded without pretending the technology isn't real.
What we're doing here
Every episode is a real conversation, recorded and cleaned up through our own pipeline, then posted here with chapters and clips so you can jump to what you care about. This blog is where we go a little deeper between episodes — the arguments we didn't finish, the things we changed our minds about, the stuff that's too in-the-weeds for the mic.
Smart, technical, Bronx-grounded. That's the whole brief.
Pull up a seat.
